The Spice It Restaurant - Hotel Ibis Bengaluru Hosur Road Review

Ibis hotel is one of the biggest chain of budget and luxury hotels worldwide. Whenever I visit any place whether in or outside India I prefer staying at Ibis hotels as they are one of the most trusted hotels according to my point of view. So this time I thought of writing review about  The Spice It Restaurant - Hotel Ibis Bengaluru Hosur Road.

How it all started

Me and my friends planned for a lunch buffet on a weekend so we selected The Spice It - Ibis Hotel, Bommanahalli, we called for reservation so the staff told actually they won’t be providing any buffet lunch but a fixed lunch menu will be served on the table. As we had no other choice so we decided to go with this option.

What different you will find there

It is one of the restaurants in Bengaluru having Open Kitchen which means you can see whatever is getting cooked is hygienic and can ask the chef directly to increase or decrease the volume of spices or salt in the food you ordered as per your taste.

What we had there

We reached The Spice It at 1 O’clock and then the fun begins….. As our menu was set, we told only to serve vegetarian dishes so there was no need to order anything. Initially they served a mock tail(cranberry cooler) which was quite chiller and refreshing. You can judge from picture how cool it was.

Then come the soup as I have mentioned in my previous articles that I never expect anything from soups. They served a sweet corn soup which was way better than when what we get in buffets in any other restaurant or hotel. I liked it but was unable to finish it.

Now it was time for snacks as we opted for vegetarian food only and they were serving two snacks one veg and one non-veg so then the staff told they will be serving two snacks but vegetarian. Palak potato tikki with green chutney came first which was yum yumm yummy…..

The second was Gobi Manchurian which took a longer time than expected and only that point I realized that the Spice It - Ibis Hotel staff service slow if you order something which is out of their regular menu and their chef may take some time to prepare it but when I tasted the gobi manchurian they served after that I forgot the delay that happened. It was not a normal gobi manchurian but was tossed in green sauce rather than red which made it delicious and crunchy.

In the main course Daal Fry, achari baingan and paneer do pyasa was served with Green salad. We ordered for Butter roti with it. Taste was nothing special but a normal which you can have in any good restaurant in Bangalore.

Desserts
They served vanilla and daal moong halwa as we refused for strawberry ice cream. The Daal Moong halwa was looking like a yellow custard and taste was ok types and ice cream was also a normal one only.

About Ambiance and Location

Ibis hotel is located at a prime location of the city so reaching there is easy by cab or car. When we reached there, the restaurant The Spice It was not much crowded but slowly people were coming in. Mostly the people who were coming in, were staying in the Ibis only or a group of professions were there. It was having peaceful and calm atmosphere inside.

Staff and Service.

Staff was courteous but as I mentioned earlier if you order something which is out of their regular menu then their chef may take some time to prepare it.
